NEW DELHI -- India Wednesday testfired the nuclear-capable Agni-IV missile from a defense base in the eastern state of Odisha, reported Indo-Asian News Service.
The 4,000-km-range surface-to-surface missile was tested from a launch pad at Wheeler Island near Dhamra in Bhadrak district, 112 km from the state capital Bhubaneswar.
This was the third trial of Agni-IV, designed to carry a payload of 1,000 kg capable of withstanding temperatures of more than 3,000 Celsius.
