Quake hits near the east coast of Honshu, Japan

HONG KONG - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 1722 GMT on Thursday (0122 Beijing Time on Friday),the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 38.30 km, was initially determined to be at 35.7614 degrees north latitude and 140.4498 degrees east longitude.
