ALGIERS - Algeria signed on Tuesday with Kuwait two agreements on trade and tourism on the second day of the 7th session of Algeria-Kuwait Joint Committee, the official APS news agency reported.
APS quoted a source close to the committee as saying that "two agreements on trade and tourism have been signed" by the two parties during the session, co-chaired by Algerian Finance Minister Karim Djoudi and Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Higher Education Nayef Falah Al Hajraf, who is also acting minister of Finance.
Algeria and Kuwait have also decided to set up an investment monitoring committee, in charge of removing obstacles to bilateral investments.
"We will set up a committee in charge of monitoring investments and informing the Algerian and Kuwaiti administrations of all potential problems that could arise," Djoudi told the APS on the sidelines of the opening session on Monday.
The creation of the committee is part of the main recommendations of the 6th session of the joint committee held in Kuwait in 2010.
