M6.1 quake hits Myanmar-India border region

HONG KONG - An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred at 0221 GMT on Sunday in Myanmar-India border region, the Hong Kong Observatory said.
The epicenter was initially determined to be near 22.9 degrees North latitude and 94.0 degrees East longitude, about 300 kilometers northwest of Meiktila.
