Police kill four armed robbers in SW Nigeria

ABEOKUTA, Nigeria - Nigerian police in the southwestern state of Ogun on Tuesday foiled a bus robbery attempt along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, killing four suspects on the spot.
Police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi told reporters in the state capital of Abeokuta that three local made pistols and other dangerous weapons were seized from the suspects.
Haruna Bashir, a police superintendent, and his team caught the suspects robbing bus passengers in the bushes near the expressway, and took action to stop the crime, according to the spokesperson.
