Zimbabwea praises China's technology transfer

HARARE - Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe on Wednesday hailed as a great success China's technology transfer to Zimbabwe and Africa, hoping China would further speed up the process in the future.
The Chinese government has done very successfully in its technology transfer to and cultural and personnel exchanges with Zimbabwe as well as the whole Africa, Mugabe said during a meeting with outgoing Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe Xin Shunkang.
He hoped China would further speed up its technology transfer to Africa and strengthen the exchange of technicians to help Africa to raise its products' added value.
Mugabe also spoke highly of the great achievements in bilateral relations between the two countries in the past two years, which saw frequent exchanges of high-level visits, and ever-growing mutual political trust and understanding.
Great progress has also been made in bilateral trade and economic cooperation, he said, expressing thanks for the comprehensive assistance from the Chinese government in recent years.
Speaking to journalists after their meeting, Ambassador Xin said his tenure had witnessed stronger cooperation between the two countries.
Xin also said he himself would continue to work for the promotion of bilateral relations in the future.
