UN monitors visit battered Syrian city

BEIRUT - A team of United Nations ceasefire monitors are in the battered city of Homs and have met with its governor, the Syrian state news agency and a UN spokesman said on Saturday.
"A team of observers have been sent to Homs and met the governor," UN spokesman Khaled al-Masri said. "They are now visiting districts of the city." Syria's state news agency SANA confirmed the statement.
