Saleh hands over power to new president

SANAA - Yemen's Ali Abdullah Saleh on Monday formally handed over power to new President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, marking the end of his 33-year rule in the Arab country.

The formal power transfer was held in the presidential palace in the capital of Sanaa in a short-live ceremony attended by high- ranking local and foreign officials, including visiting Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdullatif al-Zayani and Arab League (AL) chief Nabil al-Arabi.
