A robot named "Treebot", developed by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, climbs on a tree in Hong Kong June 20, 2011.The robot has two grippers that dig into bark and allow the device to wriggle up a tree like a caterpillar. It weighs less than 1 kg (2.2 lbs), can carry a camera and is designed to climb trees instead of humans to do health checks on the plants, reported the South China Morning Post.[Photo/Agencies] |
