Victory Day marked in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK - More than 10,000 people gathered at a naval embankment to mark Victory Day despite rain on Monday.
Governor of Primorye Sergey Darkin kicked off the celebrations by greeting war veterans and people at Primorye and elsewhere in Russia.

More than 1,000 people from local military units, department of internal affairs, and naval schools marched along the embankment.
Victory Day is celebrated in Russia to mark the victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War, the Russian term for World War II, in 1945.
