Security official, soldier killed in clashes in Yemen

ADEN, Yemen - The commander of al-Mansoura police station along with one soldier were killed, and two others were seriously injured in clashes with armed separatists on Saturday in Yemen's southern port city of Aden, a local security official said.

The gunmen of separatist Southern Movement opened fire on a security patrol which was trying to remove barriers and barricades set by the anti-government protesters in al-Mansoura district, the official told Xinhua, who asked to be anonymous, killing one officer who is the commander of the police station along with one soldier and injuring two others.

The injured soldiers, who were on critical condition, were taken to the military hospital.
