6.1-magnitude quake hits south of Panama

WASHINGTON - An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted south of Panama early Saturday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake occurred at 0819 GMT, with its epicenter at a depth of 10 km.

So far, there has been no report of casualties or damages from the quake.
