6.0-magnitude earthquake hits Tonga

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Tonga at 10:06 am Beijing Time Friday, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 15.3 degrees south latitude and 173.1 degrees west longitude, the center said in a statement.
