Mubarak's sons, Alaa and Gamal, were heading to a prison in Cairo, the Nile TV said, citing security sources.

Mubarak, 82, was hospitalized on Tuesday in Sharm el-Sheikh after he suffered a heart attack during questioning by prosecutors.

Mubarak's questioning was about the use of force against protesters and embezzlement of public funds, the channel said.

He was forced to end his 30-year rule on February 11 after the 18- day nationwide demonstration which left some 384 people dead.

Mubarak has denied all the accusations against him and his family.
