World to step up fight against organized crimes

MEXICO CITY - Representatives of more than 100 countries on Thursday agreed to boost a new joint strategy against the organized crimes groups.

Mexico's Federal Public Security Minister Genaro Garcia Luna said this strategy is to combat the criminal bands through exchange of information mechanisms between the countries.
The declaration also includes the design of legal mechanisms to combat the illegal weapons trafficking, Garcia said.
Another included topic is to reinforce the combat against money laundry related to drug trafficking and avoid by all means the financing to terrorism.
It also includes the exchange of successful practices to train the police corpses, centering on the protection to the human rights, he said.
