Explosion heard from southeast Tripoli in Libya

TRIPOLI - A large explosion was heard early Thursday from southeast Tripoli hours after the eastern suburb of the capital city was pounded by Western warplanes, al-Jazeera reported.

Xinhua reporters said fighter jets were heard flying over the capital city Wednesday night amid anti-aircraft fire.
