NEW DELHI - A defense ministry official says India has tested a naval version of a short-range missile capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads.
The official says the missile was test fired Friday from a naval warship in the Bay of Bengal. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.
The official says the home-developed Dhanush, or Bow missile, can hit a target up to 220 miles (350 kilometers) away.
