Colombian Police detains 95 gang members

BOGOTA - Colombian Defense Ministry said on Monday that Colombian Police had captured 95 member of the drug trafficking bands in the last week.

In a statement, the Ministry said that in the context of the Troya operation, they detained the murderers of two university students in Cordoba department, northwest of the country.

Also in Cordoba they detained 17 more people allegedly related to the organized crime.

The operative was carried out in 10 different departments of the country, where they also detained 38 members of the drug trafficking band "Los Urabenos," 33 members of "Los Paisas," 19 members of "Los Rastrojos," four from "Renacer" and one more from the "Anti communist People's Army."
