PYONGYANG - Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has recently inspected the Ryongyon Seaside Fish Farm and the Ryongjong Fish Breeding Ground, the official KCNA news agency reported Monday.
While inspecting the fish farm, Kim, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission, expressed great satisfaction over the fact that soldier-builders completed the huge project in less than one year, said the KCNA.

At the fish breeding ground, Kim said the workers have made great efforts to improve people's living standard and managed to enable their breeding ground to bring substantial benefits to the people by equipping it with cutting-edge facilities and making it profitable.
Kim called on all the units in the coastal areas to conduct shallow-sea fish breeding in line with the party's fishery policy and their specific conditions, reported the KCNA.
Kim was accompanied by Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, and other senior officials of the party and the army.
