Sri Lanka cultural evening

March 10 – Sri Lanka embassy held a cultural evening in Beijing to celebrate the National Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the 54th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Madam Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the First Lady of Sri Lanka, and Hu Zhengyue, assistant minister of foreign affairs of China, attended the event and gave speeches.
To promote 2011: The Year of Sri Lanka Tourism, artists from Sri Lanka performed traditional dance and songs during the festive evening.
