The big travel agency reached strategic cooperation with the popular video live-streaming platform operator in Beijing on Nov 2.
"It's of great significance to enrich visitor's experience by enabling them to see destination before their trip, especially information on scenic spots," says Dai Bin, head of China Tourism Academy.
The alliance will feature information on tourism bureaus, airline companies and hotels. Well-known online celebrities in tourism industries will star in videos to answer user's questions and share their travel experiences in specific destination.
"I hope I could present the most beautiful, interesting and real side of the world to audience in the internet era," says Willde, one of the first tourism celebrities in the alliance.
Yixia will invest 100 million yuan ($14.8 million) to promote the alliance. A total of 100 tourism celebrities will be cultivated.
CYTS Tours have used video to boost tourism for Heilongjiang province and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions this year.
