The 2nd China Safety Food Conference, organized by fangxin365.com and the Food Channel of China.org.cn, was held in Beijing on Dec 12.
The event was jointly initiated by China Internet News Center, the Healthcare Consulting Service Committee under China Healthcare Association, China Standardization Magazine and the Heilongjiang Shigeng Association.
It aims to improve the food safety in China by involving government authorities, producers and distributors, experts and media in areas including agriculture, food and standardization in discussion of food-safety issues.
This year's event discussed topics including current status and solutions for China's food safety, control and innovation for the standardization of China’s food industry, statutes and evaluation methods for children’s food in the country.
A set of evaluation methods and survey results based on analysis of addictiveness, potential safety risks, and daily intake volumes of children's food sold in 24 major supermarkets in Beijing since August were released at the conference. Purchasing recommendations for children's food products were provided, too.
