Visitors to Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu province, will have the chance to take a train, claimed to be one of the slowest in the world, in a national park from August. The train, which has an old-fashioned appearance, will travel between the Yeshan National Mine Park and the Babaiqiao subway station.
Tourists can visit the 3,000-year-old mine, sip coffee in the 100-meter-deep pits and view the province’s largest artificial canyon. The train’s maximum speed will be 10 kilometers per hour. The train will be put into use officially before the Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Nanjing from Aug 16 through 28.
