"Our properties have more critical matrix than our competitors, meaning we have more of what our customers tell us they want under one roof," Tracy said.
He said that compared with a decade ago, the biggest difference is that hotel guests now have more options, such as shopping or dining.
The company's more than 140,000 square meters of meeting space also caters to more conventioneers than was possible before. The company is currently developing the St. Regis Macao at Sands Cotai Central and The Parisian Macao.
Both are expected to open in late 2015 or early 2016. With a replica Eiffel Tower in front of its gate, The Parisian Macao will feature 3,000 rooms, a retail mall, diverse food and beverage options and entertainment.
Like The Venetian Macao, the integrated resort will make guests feel like they are in Paris with its decor and design.
"To make sure the hotel stays thematically in the French style, we just went there to look at the trends, such as what people are buying and how they dress," Tracy said. The main target customers of the company’s hotels are the rising middle class in China, he said, who are the most eager and the most likely consumers to visit Macao. "As the hospitality industry continues to grow and the product offering improves, the visibility of Macao as an international destination will be greater, and is already happening," he said.
