Part of the Starwood Group's Luxury Collection hotels, the Astor Hotel is based in a historic building built in 1863 and a former "diplomatic hotel" along Tianjin's Hai River.

The 152 rooms and suites are divided into two separate wings, the Heritage Astor wing featuring glass chandeliers, floor-length silk draperies, canopy beds and views over Victoria Park, while the Hai River Wing rooms have a more contemporary design, river views and rainforest showers.

For dining, there's Astor Bistro and Terrace for Anglo-French cuisine, Chinese restaurant Shui An and the open kitchen Café Majestic, while O'Hara's English Pub is styled on a British gentlemen's club and The Victorian Lounge does daily high tea.

There's around 1,000sqm of meeting room facilities, a fitness centre and indoor swimming pool as well as a small museum to the heritage of the hotel.
