10 must-dos in Wuyuan
1) Have a sweet and a savory Qingming fruit for breakfast.
2) Try famous local dishes, such as the steamed red carp, mushy tofu and steamed pork with rice.
3) Catch a sunrise in Shicheng village.
4) Visit the ancestral halls in Wangkou village.
5) Spend the night in Big Likeng village.
6) In spring, check out the curved terraces of Jiangling village, covered in golden cole flowers.
7) In autumn, visit Huangling village to see wicker baskets of chilies drying on wooden rods outside homes.
8) If you go during Spring Festival, be sure to watch the nuowu dance, included on the State-level intangible cultural heritage list.
9) Bring home some tea and camphor tree products.
10) Take a close look at the wood, brick and stone sculptures in old houses.
