Nadam festival gallops into Inner Mongolia

The Nadam festival is held in the blistering cold in Old Barag banner, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Dec 24, 2012. The temperature dropped to minus 41 C. Nadam is one of the most exciting and colorful festivals in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The festivities include fierce horse racing, archery and wrestling competitions, the traditional sports of Mongolian warriors, though young girls and women participate in the horse racing and archery contests.
