Psychedelic patterns shift on an LCD display hovering over Buddha's head at Dayuan Cultural Garden. Anhui province is famous for its Buddhist mountain Jiuhuashan, but apparently Jiuhuashan isn't enough. The province has invested over 2 billion yuan in the Dayuan Cultural Garden, an homage to Buddha for contemporary times. The 99-meter-tall Buddha is the main attraction, but the park is filled with interesting photo-friendly sights. The park was completed in September and will open to the public soon. |
