Floraland

In Chengdu's western suburb, there's a wonderland called Floraland that magically mixes Disneyland-style theme park with local flavor. It is open daily and a popular holiday haunt for youngsters and families with kids.

Featuring replicas from nine countries including the United States, France, Germany, Italy and a magic island, the theme park is filled with entertaining games and a wide selection of cuisines.

Walk into any one of the nine compounds and visitors can feast their eyes, ears and appetite. It is like seeing the world in one day.

The beautiful park is like a fairyland with its flora and fauna, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

But what makes the wonderland really worth a visit is the strong local culture. There are teahouses, Sichuan food and traditional handicraft workshops to satisfy the preferences of every visitor. There are also daily parade and performances, which add a sense of fantasy to the whole experience.

Location: Wenjiang district, Chengdu, Sichuan. Four lines of buses can take you there from downtown Chengdu. Call 028-8261-1222 for more information.
