Summer is a good time to visit the Kotka, a coastal town in southern Finland, to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Baltic Sea and trace its history.
To make the visit even more special, go between July 26 and 29, when the annual Maritime Festival is taking place. The event was launched in 1962 and has become the country's largest summer festival.
Visitors will have a whale of a time enjoying concerts ranging from rock to classical, theaters, magic shows, and sea shanty contests.
