Bailuzhou Park is located at the southeast corner of Nanjing, Jiangsu province, and is the largest park in the south of the city . The park was originally a country house belonging to Xu Da, one of the founding fathers of the Ming Dynasty. The Nanjing government rebuilt it into the "Bailuzhou Park" (or Egret Island Park) in 1929, and it is now is a mixture of natural scenery and markets for various cultural products.
