Xinjiang kaleidoscope-the 'Ghost City'

The "Ghost City" or the city of Wuerho, is located about 100 kilometers from Karamay, a city famous for its rich oil resources in China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. In recent years, Wuerho has emerged as a popular sightseeing destination for tourists because of its bizarre landscapes. Under the dry and windy climate, the sand mounds of the infertile earth are shaped into various forms, creating a world of natural sculptures. This latest photo update by professional photographers presents the outlandish scenery of the "Ghost City". [Photo/Xinhua]
