Experiencing cultural and historical sites in Shanxi

Located at the foot of Mt. Hengshan in China's Shanxi Province, the Suspended Temple is nestled in the steep precipices and cliffs of Cuiping Peak west of Jinlong Gorge. The temple was built among the cliffs 1,500 years ago, suspended in midair some 60 meters from the ground. It is arguably the No. 1 spectacle of Mt. Hengshan. Unlike many other temples, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism have all been worshipped together in the same hall. The halls are also well-designed, making good use of the cliff's natural shape.
