Turkish volleyball club Vakifbank seeks world championship with Olympic MVP Zhu

ISTANBUL -- VakifBank will be seeking to win the FIVB Women's World Club Championship with its new transfer Zhu Ting, China's star spiker and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Rio Olympics, the Turkish volleyball club said on Saturday.
VakifBank is now making preparations for the FIVB Women's Club World Championship which start on October 18 in the Philippines.
"Although we will compete with several tough teams, we are sure that we will get out of this fierce competition with victory," the club's Italian coach Giovanni Guidetti told reporters.
He noted that his team is working hard for the championship and will try its utmost in the Philippines as the club owns best players of the world.
"We are working hard to carry Turkish sport and Turkish women to the summit at the international arena," said the Board Chairman of the VakifBank club Osman Demren.
Zhu Thing also expressed her happiness and excitement for joining one of the best clubs of the world.
"The new arena is very beautiful, and I am looking forward to winning Turkish league champion with the club," Zhu said at the press conference.
