Rachele Bruni: Lost-and-found silver medal
Italian swimmer Rachele Bruni was promoted to the silver medal position in Rio Olympics 10km marathon swim after French swimmier Aurelie Muller was disqualified after being found guilty of "dunking" opponent Rachele Bruni on the finish line.
As a result, Brazilian swimmer Poliana Okimoto, who initially thought she was fourth, was given bronze. Sharon van Rouwendaal of the Netherlands captured gold.
Bruni told Italian media after the race: "The French swimmer has sunk me. At the finish she obstructed me and I could not touch the board. I am glad with the decision of the judges."
