The search is on to find a slogan for the country's bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Members of the public have been invited to submit ideas that reflect the Olympic spirit, the character of the Games, and public enthusiasm for the joint bid by Beijing and Zhangjiakou, Hebei province.
"The slogan should be simple and catchy, and should connect with the vision of the application," said a spokesman for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee.
Residents in Beijing and Hebei are being encouraged to suggest slogans, though individuals and groups elsewhere in the country and abroad can also submit ideas. However, companies, institutions and schools may not take part.
Slogans can be submitted through the beijing-2022.cn website, by e-mail to kh@beijing-2022.cn, or by post to an address given on the website. The closing date for submissions is Nov 21.
Almaty in Kazakhstan is also bidding to host the Games, and the winner will be announced on July 31 next year.
