Vietnamese kids to watch NBA match in China

HO CHI MINH CITY - A Junior NBA Vietnam All- Stars team will go to China to watch an NBA match between Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings on Oct. 15, local Vietnam News daily reported Monday.
The report quoted announcement of the US National Basketball Association, whose international youth development program came recently to Vietnam, as saying that with support from FrieslandCampina Vietnam's Dutchlady brand, the team will consist of 10 boys and four girls from Ho Chi Minh City chosen from a pool of 64 at the Jr. NBA Vietnam National Training Camp.
The children will join more than 50 others from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines at the NBA Global Games Beijing.
The All-Stars will also play exhibition games against local basketball teams and visit historical landmarks in Beijing.
FrieslandCampina has signed a multi-year agreement with the NBA to serve as the presenting partner of Jr. NBA in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.
