China not to bid for FIFA Club World Cup

BEIJING -- China will not bid for the 2015-2016 or 2017-2018 Club World Cup as the Chinese Football Association (CFA) received no application from local football associations till Tuesday, according to CFA official Qi Jun.
Tuesday was the last day for local associations to hand in bidding applications to CFA while the deadline FIFA receives the application is March 30.
Guangzhou had showed interest in bidding with the support of Evergrande Group which owns the AFC Champions League team Guangzhou Evergrande, but finally decided to quit.
