Murray named BBC annual award

LONDON - Wimbledon champion Andy Murray was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2013 on Sunday.
The 26-year-old Murray became the first Briton to win Wimbledon in 77 years to win the Wimbledon men's singles title.
Murray, also the winner of US Open in 2012, failed to show up at the ceremony because he is preparing for the new season in Miami.
Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson won the Diamond Award.
Sebastian Vettel of Germany was named the Overseas Sports Personality of the Year after winning his fourth successive Formula 1 World Championship.
