Chinese weightlifter wins IWF Grand Prix

BAKU - Chinese weightlifter Wang Shuai captured the overall crown in the women's 58kg category on the final day of the 2013 IWF Grand Prix International Baku Cup on Saturday.
Wang, who had never before registered an international competition result, vied against Romanian Loredana Elena Toma, who was the first winner of the day: with 96kg she took the snatch gold medal.
In clean and jerk, Wang managed to lift 118kg for a winning total of 212kg, beating Toma to the silver on 211kg, and Ukraine's Yuliya Kalina took the bronze medals.
Some 70 athletes from 23 countries participated in the IWF Grand Prix & 2nd Baku International Cup that started on December 5.
