Li Na escaped Radwanska clash into Cincinnati semis

WASHINGTON - Li Na advanced into the semifinals of Cincinnati Masters as Agnieszka Radwanska withdrew from the tournament Thursday to attend the funeral of her grandfather in her native Poland. [Find more about US Open hard court season]
Li Na beat ninth seed German Angelique Kerber 6-4 6-4 Thursday for a quarterfinal spot and now made a seat in the last four.
The fourth seeded Polish was scheduled to meet the Chinese fifth seed at the quarterfinals on Saturday after outclassing Elena Vesnina 6-0, 6-2 to reach Cincinnati last eight earlier Thursday.
"Unfortunately, my grandad passed away last Sunday, the funeral is Saturday and I need to be there," Radwanska said. "I'm disappointed not to continue with the tournament especially due to my form this week."
