China's Shandong beats Kazakhstan at women's volleyball tournament

HANOI - China's Shandong defeated Kazakhstan in straight sets on the first day of the 10th international women's volleyball tournament (VTV Eximbank Cup 2013) in Vietnam's northern Ninh Binh province on Saturday.
China's Shandong players outperformed Kazak players and easily won the match 25-21, 25-17 and 25-20.
On the first day of the tournament, China's Jiangsu beat the host Vietnam 3-2 while Thailand defeat Australia 3-1.
The VTV Eximbank Cup 2013 is held from July 13 to 20 in Ninh Binh with the participation of six teams from Australia, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Vietnam, competing in round robin format, and the top four teams will enter the semi-finals.
