Xiao defends men's 6 red snooker single gold at AIMAG

INCHEON, South Korea - Xiao Guodong won China's first gold medal in billiard sports at the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) here on Monday after edging Amir Sarkhosh of Iran 5-4 in the final.
Xiao, who won the title in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2009 at the age of 20, had a good start to take a 3-0 lead. But Sarkhosh bounced back to tie at 3-3. Both sides won one more set and the match was forced into a deciding set.
Xiao gave no chance to his opponent and quickly wrapped the victory with 49-0 and took China's first gold in billiard sports at this AIMAG.
"I knew it would be a tough final," said Xiao. "I got a little bit bad luck today and he got the good ones. But fortunately I could won this gold medal for our country."
