RIO DE JANEIRO - Brazilian club Santos have confirmed the sale of highly rated midfielder Felipe Anderson to Lazio for 7.8 million euros.
The deal was struck during a meeting on Tuesday between Santos' directors and English investment group Doyen Sports, which owns 50 percent of the player's economic rights.
"Everything has been agreed upon, we only need to sign," Santos vice president Odilio Rodrigues told Uol.
Anderson, 20, is renowned for his pace, vast passing range and ability to score.
Lazio's technical director Iglie Tare and secretary Armando Calveri reportedly gave their consent to the move during talks with Santos last week.
Meanwhile Santos officials have revealed the club received just 9 million euros for the sale of Neymar to Barcelona last month.
The Catalan club paid 57 million euros for the forward, most of which went to third-party stakeholders.
