Rockets beats Hornets in preseason game

HOUSTON - Kevin Martin scored 17 points to lead the Houston Rockets to a 95-75 victory over the New Orleans Hornets in the Rockets' second preseason game Friday night.
Martin led all scorers, posting 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting in 28 minutes for the Rockets. Omer Asik turned some heads, pulling down 15 rebounds in 28 minutes of action.

Donatas Montiejunas added 13 points, Toney Douglas had 11 points, while Chandler Parsons and Patrick Patterson each scored 10.
Jeremy Lin played better than he did in the Rockets' first preseason game on Wednesday, scoring 9 points and dishing seven assists with just two turnovers in 23 minutes.
Forward Al-Farouq Aminu led all Hornets with 15 points. The team played without star Eric Gordon and first-overall pick Anthony Davis, who are recovering from injuries.
