Kenyan firm to give hefty rewards to Paralympics team

NIROBI - Kenya's largest mobile firm, Safaricom on Wednesday announced cash award for the Paralympics participants which are expected to jet out of the country later this month.
The company will award $12,000, for gold medalists, $7,150 for silver medalists and $5,715 for bronze winners.
Kenya's Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka who spoke during a sending off ceremony in Nairobi called on other corporate bodies and well wishers supporting sporting activities in the country to offer guidance to sports men and women on better ways of investing their finances.
