Torres wins Golden Boot

KIEV - Fernando Torres won the Golden Boot as the Euro 2012 football championship top scorer on Sunday.
The Chelsea striker, who registered a goal and an assist in Spain's 4-0 crushing of Italy in the final, finished with three goals and an assist along with Germany striker Mario Gomez, but took the accolade having played less time than his rival.
Apart from Torres and Gomez, Mario Balotelli of Italy, Alan Dzagoev of Russia, Mario Mandzukic of Croatia and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal also scored three goals at the championship.
