BRUSSELS - Peng Shuai reached the semifinals of the Brussels Open on Thursday by beating Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden 6-2, 6-4.
The 31st-ranked Chinese player will next play either second-seeded Vera Zvonareva of Russia or Alexandra Dulgheru of Romania.
In the other quarterfinals, top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki faces Yanina Wickmayer and French Open champion Francesca Schiavone plays Ayumi Morita.
