Powell claims 100m title in Shanghai Diamond League

SHANGHAI - Former world record holder Asafa Powell of Jamaica won the men's 100-meter race in 9.95 seconds at the Shanghai Diamond League, the second of 14 meetings of the 2011 IAAF Diamond League on Sunday.
Powell, the biggest name in the 100m event in Shanghai, clocked 9.95 seconds to win the gold while Michaek Rodgers of the United States took the silver in 10.01s.
The bronze went to Mario Forsythe, also from Jamacia, who finished the sprint in 10.12.
