SW China to host int'l sporting goods show in May

BEIJING - The China International Sporting Goods Show 2011 (Summer) will be held from May 13 to 16 at the New International Convention and Exposition Center in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
Ma Jilong, the chief organizer of the CISGS, told a press conference here on Tuesday that 1,109 enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions have confirmed to take part in the show, which will have over 5,000 booths to exhibit products in six categories, including spotswear, sports equipment, accessories and stadium facilities.
"The entire expanse of the New Chengdu International Convention and Exposition Center, covering a total of 100,000 sqm, was completely booked," said Ma. "The CISGS 2011 is likely to reach new heights in its 18-year history."
According to Ma, exciting seminars and events will also be held during the four-day fair.
The CISGS, the world's second largest sports show behind the ISPO Munich, are held twice every year - each in summer and winter.
